Just back from an amazing wedding at Heron’s Farm in Berks.
So tell us a little about yourselves:
We bought our first house 2 years ago so for a long time any spare time was about renovating and building our home. We enjoy taking mini breaks and enjoy spending time in London, we are both big theatre fans so try and do long weekends staying over seeing shows in the west end whenever we can. We also try to travel somewhere new every year so try to take a holiday or long weekend break to see different countries and cities. We are home birds so evenings are normally just the two of us and a good film when work patterns allow. The odd weekend off is generally taken up with family events as we have a large family there is always someone to see or something to celebrate.
Why did you choose Philip London for your wedding video?
Our friend showed us your wedding reels and it seemed a really creative and alternative approach to your standard wedding videographer.
So tell us about the proposal…
We went on a romantic mini break to Rome and after visiting the colosseum & vatican as well as exploring the rest of the city, we planned a day out at Villa Borghese Gardens. We went to a delicatessen on the way and picked some fresh salami, olives and breads to have a nice picnic in the gardens.
After a short walk we found a lake and Steve hired a row boat to give me a trip around the lake before we stopped for our picnic. After we had eaten our amazing food Steve began to tell me how much I meant to him and he couldn’t imagine life without me. He then said he had been learning something in Italian and he said Will You Marry Me? in Italian. Needless to say I said yes and we popped open a bottle of champagne and celebrated telling our closest friends and family from our picnic blanket. That evening we then went for a meal at a restaurant in Villa Borghese to celebrate whilst admiring the wonderful views of the beautiful city from a distance.
Why did you pick this venue?
We both agreed quite early on we like the rustic and laid back atmosphere and something we could put our personalities on. The Barn allows us to do that and most of the decorations etc will all be handmade and upcycled by us which is how we always imagined it. A romantic, relaxed rustic country atmosphere. Good food, drinks and enjoying each others company. Lots of carefree dancing and just generally having a good time.
